SOFT WINDS TRIO
Good music doesn’t need a manual – so lean back, close your eyes and open your ears – and enjoy.
This is Åke’s first recording as a leader and his warm tone and generous, melodic playing is accompanied by the responsive guitarist BG Sahlin and the versatile bassist Ulf Rådelius. The focus is entirely on standard songs and his style is soft, melodic and pleasant and the tenorsax is treated with small elegant means. It swings in an obvious and simple way and Åke likes to lag a bit behind in the pulse, still in full control of the music.
