There is a special connection between pianist Tony Pancella and bassist Ulf Rådelius. Tony is the fast-paced, resourceful soloist and frontman who constantly weaves new melodies and rhythms into the music he plays, while Ulf is the thoughtful, supportive musician who keeps the music together with his steady, full-bodied bass playing. And when you add a dynamic, creative drummer like Johan Kolsut to them you get an intensely vibrant trio.
It’s obvious – when you listen to them, live or on records – that they really enjoy playing together. The way they interact musically makes the music sensitive, creative and intense and you can hear that they are open to each other's musical ideas. And yet, at the same time, each one has their own individual voice.
The music presented on this CD is original compositions by Tony and Ulf in combination with some well known and some less known standards.
